Supt Owain Llewellyn stated it “seems to have been a tragic accident”.
Supt Llewellyn instructed a press convention on Tuesday afternoon that it was thought the group travelled to Harlech on Saturday with plans to camp in Eryri – additionally referred to as Snowdonia – on Sunday.

Supt Llewellyn stated: “Shortly after 10am this morning a member of the general public contacted us reporting a car having left the street between Beddgelert and Llanfrothen
“Law enforcement officials attended and positioned a Ford Fiesta car the other way up, partially submerged in water.
“This has been an intensive search involving plenty of completely different companies and volunteers and that is sadly not the end result that any of us would have wished.”
The drive stated its ideas had been with the household and mates of the 4 teenagers.
Crystal Owen, Harvey’s mum, earlier instructed the BBC she was on her technique to north Wales to be nearer to the search operation.
Ms Owen stated she was unaware her son was occurring a tenting journey and believed he was going to remain at a good friend’s grandfather’s home.
All 4 boys had been college students at at Shrewsbury School and had been doing A-levels.
